I really don’t think it gets much better than this, not this side of heaven.
On Saturday, Michelle, Erin, and I hosted a beautiful crew of amazing women for an (in)RL meet-up. I kept standing around looking at these wonderful women, and all I could do was shake my head in amazement.
I hardly even remembered to take pictures and that just is not like me because, the truth is, I use my camera to hide myself in a crowd of people I don’t know. But on Saturday, I put my camera down somewhere in Michelle’s house at the beginning of our (in)RL meetup, and I barely thought about it again for the rest of our time together.
There really are no words and, unfortunately (or fortunately?) not many pictures, either. And I don’t know if pictures would do it justice, anyway.
I have a ton of favorite moments from the short time I spent that day with these sisters. And they are sisters. We are all sisters, you know? And when we get together in one place, it’s like heaven has pulled back the veil and given us a glimpse of what God has in store. It takes my breath away.
Did you attend a meet-up this weekend? I’d love to hear about it! And, do you try to hide in a crowd of new faces, too?
(Incourage has a Flickr pool with photos taken at meet-ups around the world – yes! around the world! So see? It’s not such a bad thing that I forgot about my camera.)
And also? Here’s a shout-out to Michelle’s son, Noah, for getting such a great picture of us!
