I don’t want to burst into the silent winding down toward Thanksgiving, with cranberries popping quietly open on the stove, and cornbread cooling on the counter. I just want to whisper that I’m thankful. I’ve had plenty of years I’ve wanted to kick to the curb. I have trudged my way through several years that made me want to burn the calendar rather than suffer through any more of its days.

All of this? Just the tip of the iceberg. Happy Thanksgiving!
We should just be thankful for being together. I think that’s what they mean by Thanksgiving, Charlie Brown. –Marcy
